Sweet Potato dog treats

I originally came up with this sweet potato dog treats recipe when I had rescued a female Boxer dog and her litter of 5 puppies. This bunch of Boxer pups truly loved to eat. So I always needed nutritious dog treats on hand to feed the motley crew.

The original sweet potato dog treat recipe worked out well, but I wanted to add additional flavors and protein to them. So I began adding a jar of all-natural peanut butter to my recipe. The puppies loved them.

Today, I still find the time to bake a batch of treats for Princess (the Boxer puppy I kept).

Ingredients:

  • 4 large sweet potatoes

  • Water, enough to boil the potatoes in

  • 1 large egg

  • 3 cups of flour

  • 1 Ā½ cups of all-natural peanut butter

Instructions:

In a large pot add the sweet potatoes and water. Cook the potatoes, until they're fork-tender. Drain the remaining water off of the potatoes in a collider when they're cooked.

Next, add the sweet potatoes to a large mixing bowl. Mash them with a potato masher until they are smooth. Now add the flour to a cup at a time. Stir well until all of the flour is combined. Next, add the egg and stir well. The mixture should form into a dough. If more flour is needed, add additional.

At this point, you can make the sweet potato treats as plain sweet potato flavor. But if you want to make them with peanut butter, now is the time to do that.

So, for sweet potato & peanut butter flavored dog treats, add the peanut butter. When the peanut butter is well incorporated into the sweet potato dough, lightly grease a cookie sheet.

Now, use a teaspoon to scoop out rounded amounts of the dough. Place on the cookie sheets (just like you're making cookies). Bake in the oven at 375Ā° F for about 30-40 minutes or until the treats are crispy. Then transfer the dog treats to a cooling rack. When the treats are completely cool, place them into an airtight container. Then reward your fur babies with homemade delights.

Chicken Cheese Ball

Chicken Cheese Ball This delectable recipe is perfect for serving as a Mother's Day hors d'oeuvre appetizer or at any family, church, or holiday dinner gathering. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of softened Velveeta cheese and 1/4 cup of mayonnaise. Mash the mixture with a fork until it is creamy and well combined. Add the diced chicken to the cheese mixture and stir well. Then, using clean hands, roll the mixture into a ball.
