Blackened Catfish Recipe for a Crisp Cajun Crust and Juicy Fillets A hot skillet can turn mild catfish into a bold Southern-style dinner in about 20 minutes. This blackened catfish recipe creates a dark, crisp Cajun crust while keeping the fillets moist and tender inside. Catfish cooks fast and pairs well with rice, vegetables, slaw, or cornbread. You’ll find measured ingredients, seasoning swaps, skillet tips, doneness guidance, troubleshooting, and serving ideas below. Build Bold Flavor With This Blackened Catfish Recipe The seasoning should add heat and savory depth without covering the clean, mild taste of catfish. Paprika gives the crust its rich color, while garlic, onion, and herbs round out the spice. Choose Catfish Fillets That Cook Evenly Look for fillets with a clean smell, firm flesh, and even thickness. Avoid pieces with strong odors, soft spots, or large areas of discoloration. Recreating Grandma’s Chicken and Dumplings and Fish Head Soup at Home

Recreating Grandma’s Chicken and Dumplings and Fish Head Soup at Home Walking into Grandma’s kitchen meant stepping into a cloud of steam and savory scents. Transfer the pink salmon to a medium-sized bowl. Then add the two eggs, along with the diced onion, chopped red bell pepper, bread crumbs, smoked paprika, garlic powder, flour and salt and pepper.
