Italian Grilled Cheese Italian grilled cheese is a delightful side dish that pairs perfectly with any pasta or soup. This recipe can be elevated by adding a slice or two of prosciutto, if desired. Today, I chose not to include prosciutto in my sandwiches, as I wanted them to complement the main course rather than overshadow it. Ingredients: 4 slices of Italian bread 4 teaspoons of softened butter 1 to 2 pinches of Italian seasoning 2 slices of provolone cheese (or white American cheese as a substitute) Optional ingredients: 2 to 4 slices of prosciutto 1 Roma tomato, sliced Instructions: Spread the softened butter on one side of the bread slices. Heat a skillet and place the buttered side of the bread slices down in the pan.
