Easy Peasy Meatloaf Recipe
Hey there, home chefs! Today, I'm going to show you how to make a super simple meatloaf that can be served with mashed potatoes and gravy, or sliced and served on buns.
Ingredients:
2 pounds of ground beef
1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
1/4 cup of ketchup plus extra for slathering on top of the meatloaf.
1 onion, diced
1 egg
1 teaspoon of seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, ketchup, diced onion, egg, seasoning salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Use your hands to make sure everything is well combined.
Form the meat mixture into a loaf shape and carefully transfer it to a baking dish. To simplify the cleaning process, consider lining the pan with aluminum foil before placing the meatloaf in the dish.
Transfer the dish to a 375-degree oven and bake the meatloaf for about 30 minutes. Then add a generous amount of ketchup to the top of the meatloaf and cover the pan with aluminum foil. Place the meatloaf back into the oven and finish baking it for another 30 minutes.
Once the meatloaf is done, let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
