Homemade Yeast Rolls

Homemade Yeast Rolls

Indulge in the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread with my homemade yeast rolls. These rolls are sure to satisfy your cravings for warm, fluffy goodness.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons of active dry yeast

  • 1 cup of warm water

  • 1/2 cup of rice oil or melted butter, plus extra melted butter for greasing the pan and brushing over the tops of the rolls

  • 1/4 cup of granulated Splenda or sugar (adjust to taste, but ensure the dough has at least 2 tablespoons)

  • 1 teaspoon of seasoning salt

  • 4 cups of all-purpose flour

Instructions:

Dissolve 2 1/2 teaspoons of active dry yeast in 1 tablespoon of warm water. Allow the yeast to bloom for 2 to 5 minutes.

Once the yeast is ready, combine it with 1/2 cup of canola oil or melted butter, 1/4 cup of granulated Splenda or sugar, and 1 teaspoon of seasoning salt in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.

Add 4 cups of all-purpose flour to the sweetened yeast mixture. Combine the ingredients thoroughly with a wooden spoon or your hands. Adjust the consistency by adding more flour if too sticky, or more water if too dry.

Knead the dough in the bowl for 5 minutes. Rub the dough with a small amount of canola oil or melted butter, cover with a tea towel, and let it rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

After the dough has doubled in size, divide it into 12 pieces for large rolls or 24 pieces for small rolls. Shape each piece into a round shape.

Grease two baking sheets with melted butter and place the dough pieces two inches apart. Let them rest for 15 to 20 minutes to rise again. Brush the tops with melted butter.

Transfer the pans to a 375-degree oven and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until the tops are golden. Then remove the pans from the oven.

Allow your delicious rolls to cool on a wire cooling rack.

Serve and enjoy!

In a bowl, combine 1 cup of softened Velveeta cheese and 1/4 cup of mayonnaise. Mash the mixture with a fork until it is creamy and well combined. Add the diced chicken to the cheese mixture and stir well. Then, using clean hands, roll the mixture into a ball. For added texture and flavor, you can roll the cheeseball in 1 cup of crushed, roasted nuts and seeds ...
