Chocolate Brownie Thumbprints with Fudge Centers

To create these mouthwatering delights, gather the following Ingredients:

For the chocolate brownie thumbprints:

  • 1 cup of flour

  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 cup of butter

  • 3/4 cup of granulated Splenda, or sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract


For the fudge filling:

  • 1 (12-ounce) bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1/4 cup of sugar-free powdered sugar, or regular powdered sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

  • 6 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk

Instructions for the fudge filling:

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, then add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir well and microwave for one minute, stirring every 30 seconds.


Instructions for the chocolate brownie cookies:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line muffin tins with paper cup liners. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Cream together the butter and sugar, then add the egg and vanilla extract.


Gradually add in the dry ingredients.


Using a muffin pan, insert paper liners.


Shape the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and transfer them to the centers of each paper liner.


Press your thumb or use a spoon to press into the center to create an indentation. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set.


Fill each indentation with a small amount of the fudge filling. Add a whole pecan in the center of each.
