I will be using my homemade spicy BBQ sauce , but if you prefer non-spicy, you can also get the recipe for my original BBQ sauce on Newsbreak too. Both are delicious. Homemade country pancake and waffle mix In today's article, I will be walking you through the steps of how you can make your own dry pancake and waffle mix from scratch. Yes, you can use this mix to prepare both pancakes and waffles. The secret is that if you want to make waffles, you'll need to add two additional tablespoons of oil, per each cup of this mix, plus an extra egg, before making them, but do not add any wet ingredients to the homemade mix, until you're ready to make a batch. Sautéed baby bella mushrooms and onions Here's another savory mushroom recipe that pairs well as a side dish. The sautéed mushrooms and onions can also be served over baked (boneless) meats such as pork chops, steaks, chicken, and venison. Plus, it's delicious served over cooked buttered pasta, homemade pizza, etc.. When cooked bella mushrooms have a delicious savory meat-like flavor all to themselves. So, if you can't afford the high prices of meat, they can be served as a meat substitute. Ingredients:  1 pound of baby bella mushrooms, thickly sliced 1 large onion, diced 1 tablespoon of butter A pinch of seasoning salt Freshly ground pepper to your preferred taste Instructions: In a skillet, add one tablespoon of butter. Melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add your sliced baby bella mushrooms and cook for about five minutes. Refreshing mango punch Today, I am making a pitcher of homemade mango punch. The drink is thick, sweet, and deliciously yummy. It can be served in a glass, with or without ice. The punch is truly refreshing.  Note: I use grapefruit juice as one of the ingredients. If you can't have grapefruit due to your medications, please leave it out of your punch. Add another tropical juice as a substitute. Ingredients: 4-6 mango's, peeled, pitted, and chopped 1 cup of pineapple juice, store-bought, or fresh juiced 1 grapefruit, juiced 1 orange, juiced ½ cup of sweetener, or sugar (I used Splenda) 1 cup of cold water (optional) Instructions: First, prepare the fruit by washing it well. Peel and pit the mangos. Then chop the mango's flesh up into small pieces. In a blender, add the mango's, pineapple juice, and the juice from a grapefruit and an orange. Blend until the mangoes are liquefied.  The juice can be strained if you prefer, or the pulp can be left in the juice for added nour...

Pickle juice non-alcoholic cocktail Do you need a non-alcoholic fun drink to bring in the New Year? Here's a tangy, tart drink that you may want to try.  Ingredients:  2-4 tablespoons of pickle juice (depending on your tastes) 1 small dill pickle ¼ cup (4 tablespoons) of red grapefruit juice (1 grapefruit generally contains 3/4 cup of juice) 1-½ tablespoons of lemon juice (1 fresh lemon will give you anywhere from 2-3 tablespoons of juice) 2 teaspoons of Splenda, or your preferred sweetener 6-8 ounces of sparkling water, homemade, or store-bought Instructions: First, squeeze the juice from your grapefruit, lemon, and strain the seeds out of it. Now, pour your citrus juice into a large tumbler, add in the pickle juice, Splenda, or your preferred sweetener; stir well. Next, pour your sparkling water into the juice mixture and stir. Add extra sweetener if needed. Serve in a cocktail, or wine glass and a dill pickle for fun.
