Fluffy Cheese Soufflé Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of butter

  • 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

  • 4 eggs, separated

  • Seasoning salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375-degrees and grease a soufflé dish with butter.

Step 2: Make the Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese until melted. Season with seasoning salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Step 3: Beat the Egg Whites

In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

Step 4: Combine Ingredients

Gently fold the egg yolks into the cheese sauce. Then, fold in the egg whites until just combined.

Step 5: Bake the Soufflé

Pour the mixture into the prepared soufflé dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy!
