Old-fashioned Donut Muffins If you're craving a yummy donut, this recipe is the simplest way to make the yummiest batch of old-fashioned donuts. You just make the batter, spoon it into greased muffin tins, and bake. Then, once the donut muffins are cool, prepare a donut glaze or frost the tops with your favorite icing. Ingredients: 1/3 cup of butter, melted 1/2 cup of Splenda or regular granulated sugar 1 egg 1-1/2 cups of self-rising flour 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional) 1/2 cup of milk Instructions: In a medium-sized bowl, add 1/3 cup of melted butter, 1/2 cup of Splenda or regular granulated sugar, 1 egg, 1-1/2 cups of self-rising flour, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional), and 1/2 cup of milk together. (I did use ground cinnamon in mine to add extra flavor.) Using a fork, mix the ingredients together well. Grease two small muffin tins or one large muffin tin.
