Delicious Slow Cooked Garlic and Herb Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1/2 teaspoon of rosemary
1/2 teaspoon of thyme
1 tablespoon of red pepper flakes
Seasoning salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 head of garlic
1/4 cup of fresh parsley
Olive oil
Instructions:
Remove the giblets from the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
Season the chicken generously with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon of rosemary, 1/2 teaspoon of thyme, 1 tablespoon of red pepper flakes, and seasoning salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste. Season the bird both inside and out.
Stuff the cavity of the chicken with the head of garlic and fresh parsley.
Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and rub it in to coat the skin.
Place the chicken in the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Optional: Broil the chicken in the oven for a few minutes to crisp up the skin before serving.
