Country-Style Breakfast Sausage Links
Today, I am delighted to share with you my recipe for mouthwatering country-style breakfast sausage links. What sets these apart is that I do not use casings in the preparation, making them even more convenient and enjoyable to savor.
Ingredients:
1 pound of high-quality pork
1/2 teaspoon of dried sage
1 tablespoon of Splenda brown sugar blend or regular brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes
A small pinch of ground cloves
1 teaspoon of seasoning salt
1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of dried marjoram
1/4 teaspoon of onion powder
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)
Instructions:
Begin by gathering all the necessary ingredients, ensuring the pork is of the finest quality for optimal flavor.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the dried sage, Splenda brown sugar blend (or regular brown sugar), crushed red pepper flakes, ground cloves, seasoning salt, freshly ground black pepper, dried marjoram, onion powder, and garlic powder (if desired). Thoroughly mix these ingredients together, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
Take the pound of pork and cut it into small, manageable pieces. This will make it easier to work with during the mixing process.
Add the pork pieces to the bowl containing the spice mixture. Using your hands, gently knead and mix the pork with the spices until they are well incorporated. Ensure that the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat for a consistent and delightful flavor in every bite.
Once the pork and spices are thoroughly combined, it is time to shape the mixture into sausage links. Take a small handful of the mixture and roll it between your palms, forming a cylindrical shape. Repeat this process until all the mixture has been transformed into delectable sausage links.
In a skillet, fry the sausage links until they are nicely browned for about 15 to 18 minutes. Serve with eggs and biscuits. Enjoy!
