According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 32 individuals across six states have been affected, including 10 newly reported cases.
Three individuals have been hospitalized, though no fatalities have been reported. A recall has been issued for the implicated broccoli sprouts as the investigation continues. Consumers who have purchased these products are strongly advised not to consume them and should either dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase.
The recalled broccoli sprouts, produced by Evergreen Fresh Sprouts LLC, were distributed to food cooperatives, restaurants, food service providers, and grocery stores in Idaho, Montana, and Washington. However, officials caution that the distribution may have extended to additional states.
