Baked tortilla chips
Baked tortilla chips have a better texture and flavor than most store-bought chips, and they're great to use while eating taco salads, nachos, guacamole dip, etc. because they don't break while you're dipping. That's so much more satisfying! Plus, you're in control of how much seasoning is added to your chips. I used two 10-inch flour tortillas when preparing these yummy baked chips, but you'll need to use a dozen tortillas if you're wanting to make a nice big bowl full.
Ingredients:
2 (10-inch) soft-shell flour tortillas; use more depending on the amount you'll need.
Steak seasoning and seasoning salt to sprinkle over both sides of the cut tortilla pieces (the amount depends on your taste).
2-4 tablespoons of melted butter or butter cooking spray to coat both sides of the cut tortilla pieces
Instructions:
Lay the flour tortillas on a cutting board, and cut them into triangular shapes (or any shape that you prefer) with a sharp knife or a pizza cutter.
Now, transfer the cut tortilla pieces to a baking tray, leaving spaces between each one. Coat the top side of each piece with melted butter or cooking spray. Then sprinkle the tortilla pieces with steak seasoning and seasoning salt. Flip the cut tortilla pieces over and repeat each step.
Transfer the baking tray to a 350-degree oven. Bake the tortilla chips for about ten to twelve minutes. When the chips begin browning, you can leave them in the oven a little longer if you prefer crunchier tortilla chips.
Serve and enjoy!
